I’m Jim Svensson and welcome to
Selftelligence
I am an investing coach and world traveller with an obsession for learning and mastering every area of my life. I strive to fulfil my potential as a human being and to make a significant difference in the life of others.
My story
In 2014 at 27 years old I was working 60 hours weeks as an employee, I had just finished my bachelors degree within human resources and after university I managed to get what would be considered a good job in Sweden as a consultant manager managing 65 persons for a consultant company. But it seemed that no matter how hard I worked as an employee I wasn’t getting the results that I wanted. I was living paycheck to paycheck and not achieving my financial goals and getting the success that I wanted and it seemed like everyone else was. And it was stressing me out.
I took on extra jobs to try and save more,
thinking I was going to save my way to freedom and wealth. The extra jobs took
a toll on me, I was easily working 80 hour weeks as an employee with all my
jobs and trying to keep up with a hectic lifestyle.
And then one night in a cinema I got a
panic attack, it felt like my heart was going to jump out of my throat and my
head was spinning like crazy. That panic attack lasted for about 8 hours. I literally
thought I was going to die, right then and there.
Luckily I managed to recover with the
realization that life can be short. After that incident I became obsessed with
finding a different path in life to be able to enjoy the time I have on this planet.
Now that I have found that path - I am obsessed with teaching others about it.
That’s why I started this blog. I want to be the person that I never had myself
growing up. I find it so fulfilling to teach others what I have learned
within personal finance and investing and to help others to achieve financial
success so you too can go out in the world, make a big impact in our world and
live the life you truly deserve!
